Jailbreak iOS 11.3.1 with ELECTRA. Go to settings-general-storage and delete your ios11.4 update The first install the jailbreak, Cydia, openSSH. The second enables the jailbreak. Keep hitting “Enable Jailbreak” your device will respring. If you see the spinning progress wheel like you normally would for a respring, then you’ve finally hit success number two. If after that you still don’t see Cydia, you should be able to SSH into your phone as root and run the uicache command. you can use Cydia Impactor from cydia to remove the jailbreak and keep the iOS11.3.1.
NOTE: some problems persist with 1.0.2. you can get some errors 1/3 and get “Error: exploit” with the dev version (which I have a dev account that I sign with) and it reboots after a few seconds of 1/3 on the non-dev version You should keep trying and rebooting,
Cydia is working on my iPhone 8 (11.3) – Here’s what I did:
-
Installed with Impactor
-
Siri off/Airplane mode
-
Reboot
-
Deleted 11.4 update file
-
Reboot
-
Cleared App Switcher (optional reboot after)
-
Ran electra (took ~10 tries)
-
Cydia installed, but crashed
-
Cydia opened after ~5 attempts to “enable jailbreak”
-
Electra should say “Share Jailbreak” once Cydia is working.
-
If you are getting the root error check to make sure you deleted the 11.4 update – for some reason it came back and I had to delete it again. Strange, I know.
the alternative method for jailbreak update:
-
Download Ext3nder Installer from Cydia.
-
Delete current Electra app
-
Go to coolstar.org/electra on Safari and click the link for the latest version.
-
Once it finishes loading, select “Open in Ext3nder.”
-
Set up your Apple ID in Ext3nder’s settings (set up the same way you do for Cydia Impactor on your computer, so set up an app specific password).
-
Go to the Downloads tab in Ext3nder and select “Imported”.
-
Select the IPA, then sign. When it finishes, click the IPA again and click install.
-
Go to the Profiles tab, select your Apple ID, then select trust.
You can also use this app to auto-sign Electra when your 7 days expires.
